I didn't know where to post this so i posted this thread here. I would like to start universal package manager for bsd and linux. So there can be some standardization for bsd and linux. This will help commercial developers code for linux and bsd. Why will it help commercial developers because they won't have to create several different file formats for different linux/bsd os's. This file format will help new linux/bsd users easily migrate from windows but in order to do this we need all the available software that is on linux and bsd. We will have a website that you can freely add new software to the website, it will be kinda like http://www.pbidir.com/ website, of course universal package manager will be superior to pbi. How will universal package manager will work, it will be like mac os x were the icon it self will be the hole application and if you want to delete the application you just delete the icon, no need to install or uninstall needed unless you have to install drivers then it will bring up a menu for you to install the app. Soko1 maybe you can help me develop this package manager or if anyone else is interest in helping developing this universal package manager feel free to contact me at generate4@gmail.com or contact me on aim "etereo217"

Great ideas! I would be very happy if you get them to realize. But unfortunately I have very little time and money. I would have to issue 2.0-RELEASE to start ...

And I very badly know English and is very difficult for him to communicate Sad

Mint 7 64bit  Package Manager and Mint Install fails to run after my system has been running for a while.
All I get is the screen dims and then brightens but I never get asked for the Password and they dont run.

If I try and run them as soon as the system starts they seem OK.

Not been using Linux very long so it could be me but I cant see what.
